Will taking a high school language class improve my chances of getting into college?

I don’t like taking spanish, but I really want to go to college. I’ve taken 2 years in high school, but I was wondering if I should suffer through it another year. Will that give me a better chance to get into most colleges?

If I don’t have spanish, I’ll be able to take another class that I’m more interested in.

Well if you don’t want to take it and you ARE able to drop it and take on another subject that you think you will learn more of because your more interested in it, then I think you shouldn’t have to go through another year of it :) Knowing how to speak Spanish isn’t really something that you need to know in life or to make it into college. It’s just an extra GCSE really. If you don’t like it then do another subject.

Answer #2

do whatever is best. but if there is another language that you’d rather take, take that instead
