I would normally say yes, my ex wife never knew her father until I found him for her - unfortunately, the guy never wanted to meet her. Its sad why a parent of a child would not wish to meet their own child. Anyway, definately yes, they do have the right to know. However, if the child is old enough (based on parents decision) the child should be able to decide for themselves.
