im 17 and I have no idea who my real father is I have a stepdad I consider him my dad cause he raised me as a baby...can you give me some reasons why my mom wouldnt want me to know who my real bilogical father is ??? would it be better for me not to know who he is...cause it sucks not knowing the other half of me...! any ideas?
maybe your mom doesnt want to know your dad for a reason I mean I was raised by my grandparent and I got a chance to live with botch of my parent and trust me they both suk!! my cuzzin has the same problem everybody knows why her mom doesnt want her to know but she doesnt and the reason is bkuz her dad raped her mother and she doesnt want her to know so she juss told her that he died when she was a bby not sayin thts why your mom doent want you to know but these a lot of different possobilities why dont you juss sit her down and talk to her about it she knows its gonna come sum day
Well, your mother could have a lot of reasons. And I dont think giving you random suggestions to the 1000s of possibilities is going to help, except give you ideas you havent already thought about...
You're 17, you're old enough to deal with whatever the truth is. And maybe you should tell her that... You deserve the truth, no matter what it is (although, be warned, the truth is not always a great thing, if she doesnt know, if he was not a great guy, she could just be protecting you... so you really want to think about it...)
he might not be a good person at all he might be in jail or a druggie he might be dead
I hate saying it but she might not know.
if you really want to know get a DNA test but most likely if she is not telling you then there is a good reason.
ask her why. if she doesnt tell you anything respect that. but get a little more testy with her. tell her that you will always love your step father no matter what you would just like to know
maybe your dad is a dead beat like mine I just met mine a year ago and he made all these promises then just left.. he promised he would never leave then one day its oh yea I have a flight and im leaving now I havent seen him in over a year he doesnt evne have timeto call me and to be honest I would have felt better not knowing then knowing him and knowing he just doesnt want me around.
well I know mine, so im not in this sitiation. so I dont/ cant know how you feel to wanna meet your biological father, but if your mom doesn't want you to meet him there must be a reason. he could be something you least expected. you dont wanna be dissapointed, or atleast your mom doesnt want you to be disappointed. im not saying he is a bad person, but there is a chance you know...
your THE SON IN ITS NOT your RES[PONSIBILITY TO GO WONDERING ABOUT HIM ITS HIS HE NOES WHO you are and LEAVE IT IN GODS HANDS ,,,N MY OPINIION why BOTHER SOUNDS LIKE UVE GOT A GREAT DAD TO ME!!!
yea when I go to family partys their talking about him but they dont tell me sh it...thank you guys for all the possibilities ...I guess im doing fine not knowing who he is...
