What workouts burn more calories than crunches?

okay I am 13 I do about 30-50 crunches a day (when I have time) and I wanted to no am I doing enough I am pretty skinny and average height and 40 Kgs need help

crunches burn hardly any calories , instead try these excercise -

“ bicycle excercise “ -

  1. Lie face up on the floor and lace your fingers behind your head.
  2. Bring the knees in towards the chest and lift the shoulder blades off the ground without pulling on the neck.
  3. Straighten the left leg out while simultaneously turning the upper body to the right, bringing the left elbow towards the right knee.
  4. Switch sides, bringing the right elbow towards the left knee.
  5. Continue alternating sides in a ‘pedaling’ motion for 12-16 reps.

vertical leg crunch -

  1. Lie face up on the floor and extend the legs straight up with knees crossed.
  2. Contract the abs to lift the shoulder blades off the floor, as though reaching your chest towards your feet.
  3. Keep the legs in a fixed position and imagine bringing your belly button towards your spine at the top of the movement.
  4. Lower and repeat for 12-16 reps.

plank on elbows and toes -

  1. Lie face down on mat resting on the forearms, palms flat on the floor.
  2. Push off the floor, raising up onto toes and resting on the elbows.
  3. Keep your back flat, in a straight line from head to heels.
  4. Tilt your pelvis and contract your abdominals to prevent your rear end from sticking up in the air.
  5. Hold for 20 to 60 seconds, lower and repeat for 3-5 reps.

If you want to be series about working out and toning your core than do your usual 30-50 crunches than lay on your back. this is weird but have one of your friends stand rite over your head facing you grab onto his ancles lift your legs and let him push them back down. dont let your feet get below 6 in from the ground and repeat this process until your abs hurt like hell. Than lay down and put your hands behind your head and pettle your feet as if you were riding a bike. also if you just lay on your back lift your upper body up 6 inches and your legs up 6 inches and hold that stance for 1 minute its called (cockroach) or if you want to make a game out of working out than get 3 people together and a deck of cards. 1 person will be the card dealer until the deck is used. that person should let the cards sit in a pile face sown and flip on card over. Say the card he fliped was a 9 whoevers turn it is has to do 9 crunches than the card dealer will flip the next card. Say its a 2 the secound player will do 2 crunches. you repeat this process until one of you wimps out and says that you cant do anymore. Dont worry I learned this one in boot camp it works!!! and its a chance to show your friends off (= please comment me and tell me if my advice worked for you

I don’t think you need to do them are you trying to get fit or trying to be skinnier?
