Clam base vs clam nectar?

What is the difference between clam base and clam nectar?

Answer #1

Hi,

Clam base is essentially clam-flavored bouillon paste that’s sold in a jar alongside other bouillon. It usually contains cooked clams, salt, maltodextrin, hydrolyzed soy protein, sugar, dried onion and garlic, corn oil, dried whey.

Clam nectar is like clam juice but is sold in large tins.
