Candy floss vs. cotton candy

Is there a difference between candy floss and cotton candy? Aren’t they the same thing? My dad and I were grocery shopping and there was pudding from the same company, one was ‘candy floss’ flavored and the other is ‘cotton candy’ flavored.

We’re confused, what’s the diff?

Answer #1

I think in places outside Europe, they call it cotton candy. I live in Britain, Europe and we call it candy floss. But it’s just the same thing. It’s a funny world though, isn’t it? Lol. =o)

Answer #2

Answer #3

They are the same thing, they’re just called different things in different places…like chips - here, chips are dry, flat things in a bag - known as crisps in England, while in England, chips are what we call fries.
