What are common pills that people pop and why?

lol no, my mums friend is helping me with understanding of socialgy and im doing a paper telling about commen resons for why peaple get into them what keeps them in it and why the probley dont notice the side affects

people usually become addicted to pain pills. Apparently the “good” side effects to them, are the ones the rest of us don’t like.. disorientation, light headed/dizzy etc. To me, those are the bad ones, but, to the people who become addicted i guess those are the good ones. Of course the worst side effect i can think of would be overdose and death.

sleeping pills and pain pills. Both make them high and light headed. (That is from my experience of working in a pharmacy).

Boyfriend pops aderol (ADHD med) because snorting them in lines makes you high. It makes you hyper, same side effects as meth without hurting yourself. But her is prescribed by a doctors so he can take them anyway he wants. :)

Vicadin is a good one but i forget what it is for.

Tylonal with codine is what i used one time when i was in a lot of pain, and it is prescribed only by a doctor. When i took it, it made me feel happy as heck, and i wasn’t in a any pain. It messes with your head, and you are like half retarded taking it.

Uhm no, actually you cannot take something however you want just because it is prescribed by a doctor. The prescription also comes with a method of taking them. And yes, it is illegal to take medication in a non-prescribed form. Such as snorting it.

Pain pills are generally the most common pills, because they generally have an opiate derivative (like hero.in). They’re extremely addictive and of course they provide the high that people like. Sleeping pills and antianxiety pills are the next most common I believe. They also provide some sort of high. The negative effects are well numerous… All sorts of brain and organ damage, overdose, death…

Xanax, Oxycodone, Zanaflex, Vicodin. Idk, that’s all that I’ve tried. & I’ve done it for multiple reasons, I’ve done it for the high, to “Help” with my chronic depression, to make me feel better, or simply because I was angry.
