Combanation locks

Yestorday I bot a combanation lock(not sure if I spelled that corect) for my locker at school. But how do I insert the combo to unlock the lock because I can’t insert it in. Any help?

Different locks have different turn styles. My high school lock required I turn it thrice, then clockwise, pass zero once, enter the first number, counterclockwise twice passing zero and stopping at the second, and then to the third. Look up your lock online, or ask a person in your school with the same lock.

when going to the second number you have to pass your first number once and then put in your second number (all this turning to the left)
