Color Blindness, and What's "Real"

I’m color blind, but understand that it only means that my color spectrum is skewed from what people see who have normal color acuity. I know there’s not a cure for color blindness, but I’m actually now very curious to find out, for example, if what I’ve been calling “orange” my whole life actually looks like. If I woke up one day suddenly having normal color acuity, might I discover that that beautiful “blue sky” is actually what I’ve been calling “pink” all along? Or, is it more accurate that my “pure blue” might in actuality look turquoise or something?

Thanks!

It’s more likely that the colours you’re seeing are slightly altered in your vision…so while you may confuse “similar” hues such as green and blue, the likelihood that you can mistake blue for pink is virtually nonexistent.
