How do colored contacts effect your vision?

Do color contacts effect your vision? Like people who are natrually born with green eyes but they wear brown eye color contacts, wouldnt that effect their color vision? Like everything they see will be brown? or color blind?

Answer #1

It doesn’t affect your vision at all. (color-wise) The part of your eye that’s colored is called the iris, and is a bit off of the “tunnel” in which you see out of. All the important stuff lies behind your pupil, which isn’t colored on the contacts.
