How do you clean piercing clamps?

I have a forcep clamp that I just bought. I haven’t used it yet, but I was just wondering how you clean them. Do you just clean it with soap and water, and then with alcohol before use?

boil it, then soak it in rubbing alcohol.

To sterilize them, you would have to autoclave them. You can clean them with alcohol though. :)

If you’re asking that question, you really shouldn’t be piercing yourself.

Number one, you don’t need use a clamp for every piercing, I’m quite capable of piercing myself. And number 2, I thought it would be nice to be part of the FunAdvice community and ask it here instead of look it up.

Thank you, so I should boil it the same as the needles, on high for like 45 minutes? My friend who took an apprenticeship told me thats the minimum time to boil it.

ALL piercing equipment (including needles and jewellery) cannot be properly sterilized unless done by an autoclave. Considering you don’t even know what one is, I’m sure you know all you need to know and are completely competent. LOL.
