cleaning your belly button piercing

I use antibacterial soap to clean my belly button piercng, and I have bacitracin antibiotic ointment. but as for mixing the sea salt with water, I’ve heard of doing that but the lady didnt tell me about it. does anyone do this and if so can I just use epsom salt or table salt?

I had mine done about two years ago and I used savalon & when I had a bath they told me to put some salt in the water.. so do they.. and now two year later mine is perfectly fine :) x

I was told that if you use the sea salt to mix it according to the piercing parlors instructions in a CLEAN Dixie cup. I would lay down on the floor and cover the piercing completely with the cup to allow the sea salt to really get into the piercing. I also used ONLY Dial antibacterial soap…It’s the best!

I don’t suggest doing that if it was not reccomended. Don’t listen to anybody besides the person who pierced you becuse professionally, they know what they’re doing. I got mine pierced two months ago and I use antibacterial soap twice a day and clean it with bactine twice a day. That’s what I was reccomended to do, but I suggest talking to the place where you got your piercing first.
