Yes, Christians are allowed to eat pork. It’s Jewish people who are not. They are not allowed to eat any meat that comes from an animal which has “cloven hoofs.” Actually, traditional Orthodox Jews also do not eat any seafood that eats off the bottom of the ocean either, so crab, lobster, etc are all no-nos.

there is a group of Christians called Seventh Day Adventist like myself who do not eat pork or any other unclean food. We also believe in following all ten commandments including keeping the the Lords Sabbath.

Answer #17

Eating pork is prohibited in the Old Testament. Christians generally ignore the Old Testament except when it is useful, like to condemn homosexuality. Leviticus tells us not to eat pork or seafood lacking fins or scales, not to shave our sideburns, not to plant fields with different kinds of seeds or wear clothes made from kinds of material, and for men not to lie with men as women. Today fundamentalists only worry about the last one.
