Police officer or commercial airliner pilot?

Wow, those are two very different professions. It really depends on what your priorities are. On a daily basis, being a police officer might be more dangerous (especially if you get stuck in the ghettos of LA), and the pay doesn’t start out very high. Promotions are slow too. However, its rewarding work.

Being a pilot I think will cost more money for education, but the pay scales are much better. You are risking your life being in a plane for work, but your work schedule is much cooler than a cop. Also, your pay increases at a higher rate, and you have perks like free flying for your family. Its also easy to transfer to other areas.

If it were me, I’d say go for the pilot. More money, probably more fun, and better vacation time :)

I dont think one is better then the other… it shouldnt matter what people think.. itshould matter how you feel and what you want in life bcause in the end its all about you.. noone is gunna go 2 work for you.. so whatever you feel more comfortable with and whatever you think you will enjoy more you should do..no one can make your life decisions..you gotta think your gunna be doing that for the rest fo your life so you have to pick whatever one you think you will be happiest doing in the futute.. I think you should write a list on both of them with the positives and negatives about th jobs.. and whatever one has more positive things for you then thats the path you should follow..do some research and write down what you like about them and what you dont and you shall find your answer..

I would have to say a police officer. I think their job is more exciting with heaps of adventures. The pay is crap for your first year but the more you are experienced the more $$$. I know this as my mum works at the courts and her mate is a cop.
