Why cant I get wet?

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for a year, and I’m oh so attracted to him but our sex life sucks. I can’t get wet for the life of me and I can see he gets frustrated which makes me so insecure. Why can’t I get wet like, I get horny and sometimes ill get really wet for like a minute then dry up so fast and have to use lube. Sometimes it really hurts to have sex because im so dry and it hurts him too. Also I’ve never orgasmed when having sex with him. How do I improve our sex life?

Dear hazehead, There are many reasons why this is happening…most of the time it’s due to performance anxiety. So learning to relax is important, communication is next…show him how you are able to orgasm yourself. Always use plenty of lube. There are some no matter what do not lubricate well and always need something to help. Relax and communicate. Sue…good luck

Also, you are likely to get more and more anxious the longer this goes on which is likely to make the problem worse if anything.

It could also be a hormonal issue and you may find that speaking to your GP may be helpful if it was something you felt comfotable to discuss with him/her.

You could always take a friend along with you for some moral support.

There are often ways to help people with this problem but as Sue said, lube will help if you dont feel able to discuss the matter with a professional.

I understand that this is not an uncommon problem for some women so you are not on your own with this. Also, I would take a bet on the fact that your Doc has seen people with similar problems to yours.
