Can she do anything about who I date?

I love my mom to death and I know she only wants whats best for me. Im about to turn 16 and my man is 19. I love him to death and couldnt possibly give him up. Awhile ago my mom caught me at his house and threatened if we didnt break up shed have him arrested. So I acted like we broke up and have been lying ever since. After I turn 16 is there anything she can do about us going out?

lianna, even if they are both consenting, it is still considered statutory rape because she’s underage. In the eyes of the law, no one under the age of 18 (less in some states) is mature enough to know whether or not they should be having sex.

its not considered rape because rape is having sex with someone who doesnt want too…Its illegal thats what is it..because your under age…But besides that your mom dont have the right to tell you who to date, but she sure can stop you from seeing him & bringing him over..shes just trying to protect you because he is so much older den him…she noes that he would probably end up hurting you or leave you pregnant…I mean thats what moms are for..y be with someone so old that can possibley b your older brother…anyways dats just you so wateva

Its still considered rape, Because he is over 18. & you are younger than that.

she can attempt to keep you apart since you are still living with her. I had a problem similar with my hubby when we were younger and my mom tried her best get me to break up with him but I didn’t. And I’m glad I fought for our relationship bc I’ve never been happier.
