im not for sure if I am pregnant but there is a chance I could be and I am on a basketball team could that hurt my baby if I am pregnant?

Answer #1

If you were to take a serious spill, it could hurt the baby. If you were to get punched, kicked, elbowed, or kneed in the belly, it could hurt the baby. Those extreme drills they have you do (sprints, suicides, a lot of regular practice endurance exercises) are very dangerous because your body is using up more oxygen when you’re pregnant. You could starve the baby and/or yourself of oxygen. A pregnant woman’s nutritional needs are different than a non pregnant woman’s. You need to increase your caloric intake when you’re pregnant, and if you’re working out to the extent that most athletes do, you could be damaging your body and malnourishing your baby. The most important thing for you to do right now is to FIND OUT IF YOU ARE PREGNANT! Take a test, and get in touch with an ob/gyn. Early prenatal care is crucial in teen pregnancies.

Answer #2

If you suspect you are pregnant go get a pregnancy test!!! also you should stop until you know for sure. You never know, the ball could hit you in the stomach and could cause a miscarige!
