Can flexibilty happen to anyone?

I’m wondering if flexibility can happen to anyone. I hear that people who are bow-legged or slightly bow-legged can do splits easily. But I’m not. I’m just normal but is it possible to become flexible. I need some tips, because I would really like to do some splits and some other flexible stretches.

When I first started dancing I found it hard to really get into the splits and was beginning to think that maybe my body just wasn’t ment for it. I did hear that it is easier for certain people to do the splits, its really just about the size and mobility of the muscle. My dance teacher told me that I should stretch more and REALLY stretch. If you push yourself and stretch reallly well, the more heated you muscles get, and the easier it is to do the splits and become for flexible. :)
