How can I calm down fast when I get mad at someone or something?

I need help!!!!! I get so angry when something doesn’t go as planned. I would take it on anybody near me. Even my mom thinks I’m going crazy when I get mad.

Take time out, walk away to calm down. Take deep breaths clear your mind. If you think it’s really severe then perhaps you have anger management problems and need to see someone.

take a bike and ride away to the park or somewhere u can be alone. then after u’ve calmed down get back to business. this what i do to avoid conflict sometimes with my mom or family members.

no prob. ur qtn reminds me of a story i read back in the day abt a boy who had anger management issues, so his grandfather gave him a hammer and a bunch of nails and told the boy to hammer nails in the fence whenever he got mad. later he asked the boy to take the nails out. and the boy no longer had anger probs lol. i wouldn’t suggest this to anyone cause if i was the boy i’d end up with hammered fingers.

you can try to spend that pent up anger through sports. listening to music helps me calm down. talking to someone when bad things happen that make me angry also helps

Sit down take a breath um count to ten or what I do is go into a room and like scream in a pillow than sit back and listen to music

come up with 10 reasons why your way better than them, if you cant do that. then take a deep breath, cliche, but it works

it is normal to get angry but not always. I try as much as possible to take a deep breath then close my eyes and walk away. I would suggest you do so too.

Bringing the following to mind could help too

  • would i regret my actions -is this worth all this anger?

I used to go through this couple years ago .. but not anymore .. all what I’ve done to get rid of it is : 1# when you are not mad or going through that situation , sit down on the floor , close your eye , take a deep breath , put some songs that make you feel comfortable with yourself .. it’s not necessary to be something really calm or soft .. something you like … use incense !!! it’s very good ,, turn off the lights with a very cold room .. never think about anything .. clear your mind !!!

do this like twice a week for 2 weeks or everytime you feel like you want to ,, couple first times you’ll feel like this is ridiculous .. but believe you will get to like it ..

this will help to calm down very much ,, and it really works with me , rust me … good luck
