Can a teenager breastfeed?

Is it possible for a teenager to be able to breast feed if she has not ever had sexual intercourse?

Answer #1

no

Answer #2

The production of breast milk is stimulated after a woman has passed all of her afterbirth (the nastly smelly bloody stuff after a baby is born). Until then the body only produces colostrum. That is the “leak” before actual lactation. It’s choc full of anti-bodies and vitamins for wee one.

If you are lactating without being pregnant SEE A DOCTOR!

Answer #3

well … you need prolactinng (at least 150 ng/mL)! NO moor information

Answer #4

okay…you my child are crazy! why would you ask that? why are you breast feeding? how old are you? and obviously, if you haven’t had sex then you haven’t had a baby so your milk hasn’t produced..milk production has nothing to do with age by the way.

Answer #5

no You have to be pregnant to be able to get milk in your breast and to breast feed

Answer #6

Dear justwannaknow, Yes it is possible. But if this is happening to you or someone you know you need to see a doctor. Sometimes there are medical conditions that can cause lactation. Seeing a doctor is important. Sue…good luck

Answer #7

Why would a teenager want to breastfeed if she does not have a baby, obviously because she hasnt had intercourse…

The glands that produce breastmilk, are usually not stimulated untill a girl is pregnant.

Answer #8

Well, actually there is a way. You sort of sound like me when my b/f was wanting to get breast fed off me lol, sorry for the horrible pic, but it’s what he wanted to try. Anyways, you can take some Grow bust, and it’ll make your boobs HUGE w/ breast milk. I started lactating around the 3rd week taking it. I can’t remember if there was any side effects/affects, so I would look that up b/4 taking them (if you do). Oh, another thing, if you get them, go to GNC b/c they have better products. Anyways, if your wanting it done natural, then no, it can’t be done (that I know of).
