I think that there are way too many teens out there not only having sex but having unprotected sex and thinking their pregnant. I also think that teens that are having sex should use both condoms and birth control and know the consequences before having sex. I also think teens shouldnt be having sex in the first place cause most of them do not have jobs and are not ready to take care of a young child and are not in love and not married to the person they are being sexually active with. There are so many children in the foster care system due to the fact that teens are wanting to be sexually active and get pregnant and cant take care of their children. And what happens to the children in those homes is they keep getting moves from home to home until they are 18. So please if you are a mom,dad, sister, brother, grandmother,ect. talk to the children in your family and dont wait til they are 16 or 17 cause chances are they are having sex before then and let them know that no they shouldnt be having sex but the more you stop them the more they are going to want to so you should get them on birth control and get them condoms and make sure that whoever they are being sexually active with is tested along with your child,sister,ect.. We do not need more children in this world who dont know their mother or father and are wondering why they werent there for them growing up. So please talk to your kids and let them know.
yea I agree also..with SOME things you said. even though I'm a "teen" myself I'm not gonna bash you because your talking about my age group, because I understand how you feel. I'm 18 years old, will be 19 this month and I've never thought having a child. I think it's disgusting that these girls that are my age and younger and having babies that they can't provide for. I cannot agree as far as the sex thing goes..teaching abstinence is a closed book. take it from someone who's right in the middle of it all, people in my age group are gonna do what they wanna do, and telling them that they have to have this and have that and have to be this old to do this or that is juss gonna wanna make teens have sex even more. all people can do about teen pregnancies is teach these girls and boys how to be safe !! I think it's awful that these KIDS are having sex so young..I mean I JUSS lost my virginity last year !! I couldn't fathom having sex earlier than what I did, I wasn't raised that way. but the kids that are out here having sex and doing God knows what else are most likely the seeds of teen parents !! put that into consideration..it's a vicious cycle, you ARE the result of your environment. also keep in my mind that there are plenty of teens that are abstinent also..most of them by CHOICE, and some teens that choose to wait until they are much older, have sex OCCASIONALLY, and when they do they use double-contraception [like me !!] lol. so don't fret my concerned friend, there all still some good, well-taught ones. ;]
Its mainly the parents fault for not getting them on birth control otherwise they wouldn't be getting pregnant. As for having sex, that is the teens fault. That is my opinion. It's not going to stop (teens getting pregnant) so you mind as well not try. Unless you feel like trying to make everyone have a campaign about it then yeah. Maybe that will cut down the teen pregnancy a little bit more. :P

Just because you put your kids on birth control doesn't mean they can't get pregnant because my mom was on BC and used a condom when she ended up pregnant with me
