And who has a response to Palin's response to the oil spill (seen in video)?
Palin's response is accurate and well informed.
We, in Alaska, know quite well the "costs" of oil spills. We also know how to protect our environment from anticipated types of possible spills.
The gulf spill will be contained and man's best efforts at cleanup will prevail. Over time, the environment will return to normalcy and steps will be taken to attempt to prevent similar spills from being able to occur in the future.
The spill was caused by man's faulty actions and attention in the operation of THAT well. Better guidelines can improve protections for deep-well drilling.
Whether environmentalists like it or not, oil is necessary to the function of the U.S. economy. We simply must be better prepared to handle potential spill disasters.
Granted, i feel sorry for those people and creatures who have suffered as a result of the spill. However, there are no guarantees in life. We can only do our best to reduce the chances of error as we enjoy the products that the environment provides.
Man will prevail into the future WITH the environment.
I live in Florida aswell and apparently it's going to effect our beaches on the coast.
