To answer your question, no, you would not be considered an athiest… “a·the·ist –noun a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings.”

Agnostic would be closer but not quite the right term, either:
“ag·nos·tic –noun One who believes that it is impossible to know whether there is a God. One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.”

That depends on what you mean by ‘higher power’. If the higher power is intelligent, then I think that counts as a god, in which case you are not an atheist. But if the ‘higher power’ is not intelligent, then you’re an atheist.
