ok if I run at least a mile everyday until next summer would I be in like good enough shape to wear a bikini? will I lose my luv handles and flabby arms lol oh and have tone legs?

You will lose more weight with a diet change than by jogging.

If you normally drink soft drinks, drinking just 1 less can of soda a day will make you lose weight faster than running.

That said, exercise is important for overall health, so running a mile a day is still a good idea.

Maybe. Depends on your diet too and other things. What you might want to do is at least a mile a day, and increase the distance as time passes.

You burn about 100 calories or so per mile. There are 4000 calories in a pound of fat. So you should lose 1 lb. per 30-40 days with no other changes. Here’s where I got calories burnt: http://www.nutristrategy.com/activitylist3.htm . 5-6mph for 1 hour = 5 miles ~= 500+ calories. So 1 mile ~= 100+ calories. More for faster speeds.

Whole grains, nuts, eggs, bran, and/or oil are essential for a healthy metabolism.
