Dad threatened to kick me out

If her dad kicks her out of the house - then yes she should call CPS. She is only 16 years old, if he makes her get out the house, CPS should be involved.

I’m not saying to call them now - I’m saying if your parents DO kick you out and force to you to leave the house and you have no where to go - CPS should be involved.

Legally - you are too young for your parents to kick you out. You can call the cops and get in touch with CPS (child protective services) because that is very illegal. You are only 16 years old and your parents responsiblity.

Now that I’ve said that though - is there a reason why they hate this guy? Maybe you should talk to your parents and find out what they don’t like about this guy, maybe they have a very valid reason. Your relationship with your parents is not worth some guy.

I would not call any CPS unless you are being abused in anyway Look he is being a parent, My mom always told me if I did not like her rules and thought it was better else where then go head. Guess what I never left. She new I would not and I knew she would not, but she is a tuff Italian women. Anyway, you live under his roof and I think you should respect your father’s wishes. Boyfriends come and go but parents will always be there for you. Heck I went back to my parents 2 times, once when I left my first husband and second after I made a stupid mistake of getting rid of my own place to move in with a boyfriend, I am glad I never damaged and relationship with my parents, who cares about the guy. If he loves you he will be their in two short years. Don’t piss your dad off.
