How would I bake my falafel when using a falafel mix that instructs you to fry it?

I bought a falafel mix today, on the instructions, I’m supposed to mix it with water and then put them in the fry. I don’t have a fryer and I don’t want to fry it either. Would it work if I baked it? If so, any ideas how long and the temperature?

It’s a good idea. I don’t know the best answer, but I think you probably have room for some experimentation without totally ruining them. I’d suggest trying 375F for 15 minutes, followed by another 5 minutes at 450F to brown them. Also, “size matters,” as they say. If you make some of them a little bigger than the average size and some a little smaller, the different outcomes will help you anticipate what the likely effect would be if you were to adjust the time/temp settings. After you’ve tried it, please let me know how it worked out. Don’t eat too many, because that’s how they got their name: “Oy, I feel awful!” (j/k) {;^)
