BAD Menstrual Cramps

Ok so PLEASE help!! I started having my period at age 11 and at first they were very mild. Then, about a year later, had to start having to take Tylenols, about a year after that, they stopped working all together. They I started Midol…same effect. Then I tried Aleve. It worked for a long time, untill about a year ago. My cramps got so bad, I literally felt like ripping the pain out of me, it was like stabbing pains, like a knife, then it would cut to my back, I culdnt sleep, I also vomittd every day of my period and couldnt go to school, had to stay in bed. I finally went to the doctor and they prescribed me vicodin. So the cramps didnt hurt anymore but I still couldnt function because I was too tired b/c of the vicodin & couldnt drive because I was dizzy. Now im on the depo injection. But does anyone know why they were like that? Do I have like a problem, like illness…I dont think its normal.

My friend has this problem at the moment. She is pretty healthy physically, but she always gets really ill when Shes on her period. I dont think there is anything wrong with you at all, but I am glad you’ve sorted it out and now I can suggest some treatment for my friend:) x x x X

Answer #2

it is not normal, you need to go to a doctor who will look for the cause rather than just give you pills for the symptoms.
