Baby screams a lot

My 8 months old baby shouts/screams a lot, pls I want to know if it’s normal or if anyone has experienced it and what you did?

Answer #1

If your 8 month old baby is screaming just to scream, then he is just discovering the sound of his voice. Babies that young don’t understand the concept of loud or quiet. They just test everything they can about the world around them.

Answer #2

the screaming is most likely to be cause he/she needs sumthing but with the shouting babies pick up new sounds and when they learn theese they tend to do it all the time but also the screaming could be traped wind/colic my son had this and it is so painfull ffor a baby and the only way a 8month old baby can tell you he/she is in pain is to scream

Answer #3

possibly teething at 8 months too…I found that if I put oragel on the area right before sleep time, they fall asleep within minutes. Check the gums to see if they’re white, swolen or blistered in any areas. Also they have teething tablets, I have only found them at Walmart, nowhere else. 2 or 3 of those at a time, not exceeding 12 (I believe) in a 24 hour period…they work miracles. If the baby already has front teeth, it may be the molars or pre-molars. The molars are an absolute nightmare for baby…and so for mommy too… If you don’t think that’s the problem you should really have baby looked at by the pediatrician. Best of luck!!!

Answer #4

I agree with the person the also answered this question. babies cry and scream and guess what? it all depends on the baby. I was a quiet baby except ya know when I needed something. I know people that had terrible screaming babies all night all day all the time. it’s just the baby. and maybe if you fed him/her more than you do without overdoing it, he/she wouldn’t cry as much.

Answer #5

My son (who is now five) went through colic for the first three months of his life. He screamed and cried a LOT. However, I am not sure if they have colic at that age or not. You really need to ask your pediatrician about this. It does not sound too normal.

Answer #6

maybe she has a diaper rash? that bothers them a lot. when you buy diaper rash cream dont go the cheap route. I sugest balmex wors good.. or maybe she has gas.. maybe give her sum water. burp herr

Answer #7

…yeah… pretty sure most babies do that… how else can they let you know they want something?
