Why would a baby be born premature?

I’ve always heard they can be because of the amount of stress the mothers in. but im not too sure about it.

There are many reasons why a baby is born prematurely, often there isn’t even a reason to explain it.

Smoking can certainly cause premature birth (I believe that that is the reason why both my brother and I was born too early, because of SECOND HAND smoke)

Other times if a women is under a lot of stress, the baby can be born prematurely.

Also if a women does not take properly care of herself during her pregnancy, she is too young (pre-mature births are more common in teenagers having babies) or too old (over 35)

The infections and pre-eclampsia can cause pre-mature births.

Women expecting twins also generally have pre-mature births.

I have to totally agree with every word…

I believe that women who smoke no matter what it is cigi’s or weed will cause premature labor as well as some birth defects!

I have to wonder though, are those women that clueless about what they are doing to their unborn baby or do they simply not care if their pregnancy gets god forbid terminated due to smoking? Birth defects will ensure that they will suffer the consequences every day of their lives so why even take that risk of putting themselves or their unborn child through all that hell?!

Another cause is drinking…they say it is ok to have 1 glass of red wine…but if you have 1 glass every day while you are pregnant then how can you not have and issues with premature labor or birth defects as well?!

I mean seriously pregnant women kill me, I get the cravings that is fine & all the baby brain forgetting stuff…but hey cant you sacrifice smoking/drinking or abusing drgs for 9 months out of a year???? I mean seriously If when I was married and was trying to have a baby I did my damn hardest just conceive that baby…and some women have to go through hell to just get pregnant…how on earth can you be so careless and not want to protect this baby by giving up something so small like smoking/drinking/ abusing drgs…or hell even c affine…come on it’s for a healthy cause that will bring joy to your life…

i was premature because of something called Nuchal cord which means the umbilical cord was wrapped round my neck
