What is the average lifespan of a domestic indoor cat?

And do cat yrs work like dog yrs

Answer #1

I’d say 15-20yrs, and probably:)

Answer #2

Around 15-17 years. They dont work exactly the same. By the age of 1, the cat is almost a full adult (kinda like a teen), by the 2nd year they’re fully grown (mid twenties), then you go 4 years for every year from there.

Answer #3

My cat is 17, she can still RUN up the stairs for her food, I have looked after her well, but I do realize that she could die at any time, I am dreading that day, but I know it might be sooner than later, she has never had any real illness ever.
