Athiest?

* If you are the proud athiest that want us to believe that you are, then refrain from everything that has to do with God, the Bible, etc.

…or alternately, ignore this absurd advice and just go on with life celebrating birthdays, using money, etc, but without believing in any gods

* Grow up and educate yourself before you go around preaching and believing that God does not exist.

-Everyone has the right to celebrate the day of their birth, you don’t have to believe in God for that -Christmas and Easter were originally Pagan holidays, not Christian, and had nothing to do with God -Money has nothing to do with God, and maybe the American currency says “in God we trust”, but it’s still currency and is still necessary for survival, regardless of what it says - to stop using money over 4 meaningless words would be stupid and irrational.

I’m struggling with trying to define my religious beliefs as well, and I came across a rather interesting one. Google Unitarian Universalism. Some would say they’re the religion that believes in everything and nothing, but I find their laid back approach to be refreshing. Members of the church include Agnostics, Atheists, Buddhists, Christians, Humanists, Wiccans as well as homosexuals and transgender individuals. The you church focuses on helping people discover what they believe instead of force feeding you their version of nonsense.

Atheism isn’t a religion… It’s the absolute opposite. If it were a religion it would be a completely contradicting idea. Atheism is the absence of belief.

Agnosticism is the position of believing that knowledge of the existence or non-existence of God is impossible. [[Kinda like in between Theism and Atheism]]

Theism is the denial of the existence of all gods except one. [[Theism denies atheism.]]

Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of God at all.

So it sounds like your an Atheist. [[But as said above Atheism isn’t a religion.]]

Just don’t call yourself anything. I don’t believe in any religion, but I don’t like to be labed so I don’t call myself an atheist either.

Atheism is not a religion. It is the absense of belief in god. Those who believe are theists, those who don’t are atheists.

The definition of atheist is somebody who doesn’t believe in any higher power…agnostic is one who believes in one, but that it lacks definition or form (eg, that we all have the right idea of a “god” but that it’s not the judeo - christian, nor other, ideal).

Actually theism is a belief in AT LEAST one God… Monotheism is the belief in only one God…

If you don’t believe God exists, then you are an atheist, but atheism, itself, is not a religion.
