well firsgt why are you being rude

Answer #2

Wait. You want us to tell you how to not be rude and to help your parents around the house? You’re almost an adult. It really is simple, just stop being rude and start doing chores. It’s not like those things are out of control. You are choosing to be rude, to be disrespectful and to not helpful around the house. Make different choices. As for the depression and the poor body image, you’re going to need to work on it in therapy. Self-esteem, self worth and body image are part of your core being, how you see yourself. It is going to take time and work for that to change.

Answer #3

I know that it can feel weird to change especially when people expect you to be a certain way. First step is to not cuss your parents out. Then mabe try to treat them with respect and think of their side/think about if you were your mom or dad with you as a kid. Dont trip to much over the past, you cant change that. you can though, say sorry. I think treating your parents better has a lot to do with your depression. Try to eat better and do something you like while doing it. For example, music helps me do what I need to do.

Answer #4

Sounds to me like you’ve answered your own question…do all…be all…that you say you are not. Be respectful…help around the house…let them know you appreciate them. You’d be very surprised at how “doing the right thing” enhances self esteem and self confidence…both are by-products of letting the good side of your self show.
