Am I getting enough exercise?

I’m currently doing half hour of circuit training, half hour of basketball an hour of dance and then either another half hour of basketball or an hour of swimming each week, am I getting enough exercise?

Should I be doing 50 sit ups a day?

The two best ab exercises I know are the bicycle manoeuvre and doing crunches on an exercise ball.

I’m not going to try to describe the bicycle manoeuvre; there are lots of pictures and even videos on the web that will teach you better than I can.

So you are exercising 2.5-3 hours/day? I’d say that from a health point of view you are getting plenty of exercise.

What are your goals? If you are training to be a competitive athlete your goals are different from someone trying to maitain minimal fitness.

Also, situps are not a very good exericse. They don’t target the abs as well as other exercises and they can be hard on your back.

In Gym class, my teacher makes me lay on my back, put my arms behind my neck, and lift my legs. They’re not too hard on you, and I’m pretty sure it helps a little.

I’d like to tone up my abs a bit, there’s this little pouch of tub that’s formed! lol.

Anybody have any recomendations on which exercises that’ll give me the best results? Thank you all! X

yes it seems your doing enough to lose weight but id work on toning your body also so yes i would try the sit ups maybe not 50 straight away though :)

wow, u have alot exerise everyday!u dont need the sit ups, but they wouldnt hurt.

Lol! I don’t do all of that in a day! In a week hehe. Goodness. I’d collapse in exhaustion if that was a days worth.
