My 4 year old has recently started chaning underwear all the time because she feels wet. She has changed about 15 times today. I wonder why she started doing this and wonder if it might be a bladder infection.
Bladder infections dont always start out that painful. And sometimes there is this constant feeling of needing to go and maybe that makes her think it is wetness. Then again perhaps its a psychological thing. Hard to know. I'd try and find out whether any of these symptoms are also present: frequent urination, burning or pain during urination (dysuria), bladder spasms and the feeling of having to urinate even though little or no urine actually comes out, in some cases, cloudy, bloody or foul-smelling urine, and maybe a mild fever. If it continues, I'd give a call to the pediatrician...
She might not be using enough tp after using the bathroom. Causing a wet feeling or little drop of urine, enough to annoy her. Make sure she is cleaning herslf good enough.
I believe bladder infections are very painful..she'd be complaining of pain not wetness, google it or call a doc. (:
