Why does my 32 year old mom want to wear my dresses?

Well, my best guess is that she wants to be your ‘bff.’ Or maybe she just likes your dress? :)

We all want to feel younger and hip. It should also make you feel good that your mom wants to fit in into your generation and look good. I commend her!!

She could try to act younger, because she misses the old days,or her clothes are outdated by fashion and she wants to fit in and look good. My mother and my sister do that constantly with pants, jeans, shirts, skirts, boots, purses, ect. It’s common and you should not worry, unless she is messing them up.

she probably does want to be younger. since she had u at a young age, i guess she didnt get to hav a normal life as a teenager/young adult. maybe she wants to look more like your friend than your mom. instead of getting mad at her for wearing your clothes just politely ask her to stop and then you can maybe take her shopping to buy age appropriate clothes for her xD

I don’t know, I guess it’s the same reason why my 36 year old mom wears my clothing, maybe we just have good style?

My mother does this too. For the most part, I think it has to do with her (and other women) trying to keep their youth. No one likes to feel like they’re old, you know? The other part is because a lot of the new dresses and clothing are way sexy, flashy, or just down right pretty. They didn’t really grow up with that being acceptable or appropriate, so in a sense, perhaps they feel slightly left out of the loop?

In any case, take ‘er easy on your mom. I’m sure it can get a little bothersome, but I’m sure she means well. :)
