Why do I always use "where" and "were" in the wrong sentences?
is there an easy way to remember the difference?
where is a place, and were is reffering to people, like were going to dinner. Where are we going?
the “H” is used in asking for a place. so you say wHere is the hat. and they’ll reply it’s right Here.
Well, you could try to pronounce them correctly when you are using them, as they are pronounced differently.
“Where” is pronounced w-air and “were” is pronounced w-err, if that makes sense.
where is for location, like “ we are here” remember the “H” Here and wHere lol idfk
Actually “were” is more like “Were you talking to me, or were you talking to her?”. You are speaking of “we’re” which is “we are”… and that refers to people.
mines ovb the best answer, i expect 10 likes in the next 5 mins
Where Is A Place .. We’re Is Like We Are.. Refering To Two People Think Of The H In Where As Like A Place. As Is Where Are You.
lol
Good luck with that. :-)
so where going to the store to tomorrow? and were you at the store last night?
No were goin to the store and where is the store
ahh this is soo confusing!
5 minutes is up lol
I always screw this up, don’t feel bad.
Like it, I hope it sticks.
where- “h” house - wHere do you live? in a House..LOL
If I am not misread the question: it is the difference between WHERE and WERE (not We’re) So Where is for asking location and Sleep has given a nice way to remember it. While WERE is past to be. They are my neighbor. Their children WERE my students when they were in kindergarten.
h for home place an ‘ for missing letter in this case A
Just remember that the word “where” has the word “here” in it. So it is like “where are we?” “we are here!”
oh…thats pretty smart lol!
Sorry, but I have to correct imlonely. The sentence would actually be “we’re going to the store” which means “we are”. Were and we’re are two very different things.
There’s actually threee things to focus on: where, were and we’re. Here’s some examples to help:
Where: Where are we going? Were: We were going to the mall. We’re (contraction of we are): We’re so excited!
Where.. Is Where Are You Going? We’re Is.. We’re Going To Win The Game .. Were Is.. Were You At The Scene Of The Crime.? You Could Really Confuse People.. And Write.. Where Were You.. When The Song Was On The Radio;Because We’re Going To The Concert, Right? Do You Understand Now?
The werewolves were at the weir last night where they said we’re here where the werewolves hide.
