Your question is confusing here. Do you mean that volume is fine but internet is not working? if it is, see the cable behind and connections are fine or not
try re-installing your web browser and you may use firefox or chrome etc but it might be beneficial for you to explain the problem in detail and besides it could just be a small problem of plug-ins.
If you click on your volume control, and open ‘Mixer’ then it should come up with each application and the volume settings for each one. My best guess is that someone’s muted the internet’s volume and left the others. In the mixer you can choose what you want to have sound and what not. I was so freaking excited when I figured this out xD ahah I hope this works for you. If not the I have no idea :/
