Would it be weird to hug my teacher?

Would it be weird to hug my teacher to give him a congrats for soon-to-be a daddy?

Answer #1

It shouldn’t be. I hug my teachers whenever I had a bad day or something. o_o And my teacher hugged me yesterday as a get-better hug because we’re buddies and I was shaky since Thursday during lunch. ;X

Answer #2

No..its fine

Answer #3

Honestly, being a future teacher, some teachers are extremely cautious today about hugging and stuff. But if you’re close to the teacher already, then he should know the hug is just meant as congratulations. I, too, think it’s really nice to get hugs from students…but I understand the need to be cautious…especially for high school teachers.

If you’re not sure, though, that kind of says to me that you’re not extremely close to him. I’d think about getting a card and getting everyone to sign it. Then you can give it to him, and if he’s okay with hugging he’ll give you a hug as a thank you. Then you won’t have to worry about crossing lines or anything…

Or if you really must give him a hug, I’d ask first…no harm in asking…

But teachers always appreciate cards. :-)

Good luck!!
