Yes I did. . . . My Mother called me to tell me when it came on TV. I was off that day so I seen the news all day. Since then I’ve made friend with a guy who was Actually in the North tower when the plan hit. . . He was a paramedic. . . . Seems kinda Ironic that his Company was having a conferance there that day. . . and Sad that he was one of a few that Got out.

I was living in New York, Tarrytown, at the time. 45 minutes from NYC. The local newscaster that picked up the news didn’t know what was going on, and showed the smoke coming from one of the towers, right before they showed the 2nd plane hitting the second tower.

If you haven’t seen the movie “armageddon” with Bruce Willis, I’d strongly recommend it. The movie was made in the late 1990’s, and shows the World Trade Center being destroyed by asteroids…however, the movie is much different than what happened in real life.

It does make you wonder, given what happened in 2001, if the film makers did or didn’t do their home work about what it would take to destroy buildings like that.
