A water lily grew extremely quickly and doubled its surface area each day. At the end of the 30th day, it had entirely covered the pond in which it lived. If a 2nd water lily, identical to the first, had been in the pond, how long would the 2 lilies have taken to cover the entire pond?
1 * 2 = 2 (day one) 2 * 2 = 4 (day two)
etc, etc, all the way down to 30 days. So my guess is 16 days to reach the same area as the first one...but, based on the formula I put together in excel, it'd be 28 days...not sure which is right.
