Why wont my iPod update to the new version?
My mom bought me an Ipod Touch for my birthday last April, and she also bought herself the same one. Im not sure what generation it is… It doesn’t have a camera. I think it’s generation 2..? but anyway, when I plug my ipod into the computer and hit “search for updates” it says that the version I have (4.2.1) is the current one. But, my mom plugged hers into the computer and her ipod said that it had the version 5 update.. ..why wont mine update? help please?
The iPod won’t update If it is an iPod 2nd generation or lower. If not, you may have a glitch in your ITunes account.
I found that 2nd generation wont update but idk why my mom’s ipod would update if mine wont.. :/ how would i fix the glitch? Or where do I look on the ipod to find out what generation it is for sure?
Well it’s for sure version 2 then, and has the 4.2.1 update, but your mom may have gotten a 3 or 4, or don’t it on purpose, because it’s impossible without a jailbreaked 2 to have the 5th iOS update.
