Do you think women should just stay home and raised their children or work a real paying job like the men do?

Answer #1

Depends! Some women really shouldn’t be let out of the home… Of course, some men shouldn’t either. I believe that there should be someone home for the super young children, but I also believe that a child needs to go to day care at some point before school so that he or she is socialized.

Answer #2

I think that depends on the couple, their financial circumstance, how young the children are, and if they feel it would be a better benefit to raise them at home. Some stay home but also work from home so they still can contribute financially but also be there for their kids.

Answer #3

I think both women and men should have the options of working or raising the children, depending on their situation and personal preferences.

Answer #4

Yes I do think so. It is kind of hard for woman (me) to stay away from children for such a long time. I really do wish I could just stay at home and provided with a lot of money :)

Answer #5

Ladies i really like all your opinions =)

Answer #6

I think the woman should do whatever the woman wants to do (:

Answer #7

I thinkk women should have a job just like men.just because they have kids doesnt mean they have to be home all the time.

Answer #8

I think the woman should do whatever she wants to do. I personally couldn’t see myself staying home and raising kids.

Answer #9

I believe that raising children is not solely a woman’s job, it is equally a man’s job to raise his children. Most men and women that I know work jobs and raise children simultaneously. My parents raised me and did their equal shares as well as worked jobs.

Answer #10

Both men and women can work, cause women and men are equal

unless the husband is a jerk and wants to be bossy, saying women have no right to work , well women do have a right just like the men.

He no one can watch the kids, hire a trusted baby sitter. to watch the kids.

Answer #11

I think she should have the option. I know a lot of women who are loyal to their jobs and wouldn’t give them up for anything, but me … well, I like the idea of being a housewife and homemaker and the fact that I can work from home allows me to do that.

Answer #12

People should do whatever ‘job’ makes them happy. If women want to have a career and work outside the home, they should. If they want to stay home and raise their children, they should. If a man wants to be a stay at home dad, there is also nothing wrong with that. It’s all about preference and what the couple as a unit thinks is best for their children along with their financial situation.

Answer #13

The problem is that most families can not get by on one income. Prior to 1980 most households had one breadwinner. After 1980 most 2 parent households needed both parents to work just to get by. American workers are more productive now than ever but for the last 3 decades it has been business who has profited from this. Wages for every demographic except for the top percent or two have been stagnate or declining since 1980. Corporations and the top earners make several times what they did in the past but everyone else works longer and harder with less security but no increase in real wages.

Answer #14

I would have loved the luxury of staying at home. I went back to work when he was a year old and missed him terribly. However, in that first year, there were times when I starved for social and intellectual companionship… you can only talk about mashed carrots and where diapers are on sale for so long before you go mad.

Answer #15

i think its up to each individual family .i know a family where there dad doesnt work because he dosent need to.because the mom makes a lot of money and they have teenage kids even. i think its ok if either the mom or dad stays home or if they both work
