Women PG and still smoking.

I don’t know these people next door to me. They are all smokers like chimneys. What bothers me is this young women has a couple of little kids and she well on her way to another. I see her every day puffing away and looks six + months along.

To me this is child abuse in the worst way. Anyone I could call about this? Or just let it go. It’s a real shame. I can’t believe none of the parents whom they live with also don’t say anything to her.

I remember I was a smoker until we got PG and we both quit and this was 1985. We knew then it was causing downs and other birth defects. How can they be so stupid?

It’s not illegal to smoke while you’re pregnant. I agree it is child abuse but there is absolutely nothing that you can do. Sorry…

Hmm you’re going to have a hard time if it is cigarette smoking. Call the child abuse hotline and ask, but I highly doubt it (and yes it is stupid…)
