Do women's menstrual cramps change as they get older?

Answer #1

I think so, I think it can be different for each of them at different times and depending upon what medications they are taking such as birth control or hormone supplements. Once they become old enough to go through menopause and once it’s over, no more monthly periods and no more cramps.

Answer #2

Oh yes i know once menopause comes no more periods. Like, what if when they were young teens and had horrible menstrual cramps. As they grew up to be young adults say mid 20’s, still get periods but not those horrible cramps anymore what cause that change?…(Sorry i should have been more pacific..)

Answer #3

Yes they do. I used to have mild cramps when I first got my period and I had a light flow, but as I got older they became much worse. At times I’d get fevers and I’d feel nauseated and the pain was so intense that I couldn’t move. I was super heavy too. I decided to go on birth control because I just couldn’t take it anymore. Now that I’m on birth control my periods are lighter and less painful :)

Answer #4

yes!!! it gets worst!! but it’s different with everyone. But for the most part, i’ve heard women say that it gets worst

Answer #5

Answer #6

yes. every womans cycle changes as she gets older. when i was younger and skinnier i’d get bad cramps on the 2nd day every month. by my 30’s after several babies, no more heavy periods or cramps. then came the day in my 40’s when it never stopped and i had to have a complete hysterectomy. best thing that ever happened to me!!! sweet freedom!!! my brother-in-law used to say he didn’t trust anything that could bleed for 7 days and didn’t die!
