will I go to jail or have to pay $10000?

I have charges pending against me. I have violated part of my bail and theres a warrant out for my arrest until the prelimanary hearing. now the charges are supposed to be dropped at the hearing. So if I do not go to jail will I have to still pay the 10000 bail if the charges are dropped???

Turn youself in…why not? If the charges are going to be dropped, then the “bail” (the actually money PAID), would have been 10%, or $1000. It will be returned to the person who put that money up. Now that you’ve violated the terms of that bail, it would cost the total of $10,000 to bail you out again.

The amount of the bail, indicates that this is first time offense…so do what little time you have to do, in the county jail, awaiting your trial…

There’s something wrong, when people fork out their hard earned bucks, to keep you out of jail…and then you feel free to violate that bail…AND THEN actually think of not turning yourself in for a VERY short stay (and screwing them out of their money)…start turning your life around now, just by doing the right thing…I’ve been in county jail…it’s easy time, so opt for that, and feel good that you didn’t screw anybody over, but yourself…

Top all that off with a “lesson learned”!!! … If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime…

Im 99% sure you have to pay the bail

Answer #3

Even though the charges may be dropped you still got bailed out of jail, and you still have to appear in court. So I think if your charges are dropped you still get stuck with paying the bail bonds man.
