How do you get wifi on your laptop?

I recently purchased a laptop but to use the internet i have to use the white cord thing and plug it to my laptop. How can i use wifi so im not limited to a certain space in my household.

you have to get a wifi router….depending on the type of internet you have, they range in price from like 50-120 dollars and depending on the type router.

Get a router, which then transmits the internet connection wirelessly…d-link routers, netgear and linksys are probably the most common. The apple airport router is also pretty common, it’s what we use, and works great (also incredibly easy to setup as many of them are nightmares).
