Answer #1

I’m just curious, why have you chosen Wicca? When I was your age I started to become interested in Wicca because I had this “gap” that I wanted to fill in order to make me feel special. Let me tell you, Wicca is not a walk in the park. I started seeing spirits! At first I was excited and felt special, but then the spirits started touching me and getting into my personal space. I had red hand marks on my skin from where they touched me and it freaked me out!

It wasn’t fun. I don’t think you realise how scary and dangerous it can be and I just want to save you the trouble. My grandma’s friend once played around with an Ouija Board and ended up throwing herself out of a window. Just be careful, Wicca no matter what anyone say is associated with Satan and he does not love you.

I did what I did to fill a hole, I only now realise that the spiritual hole we have should only be filled with good things, and Wicca is not a good thing.

I am now Christian, and I still see spirits sometimes. I don’t think that will ever go away but I’m not afraid anymore because I can call on God to protect me.

I wish you all the best :) Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs I just ask you to really ask yourself what your reasons for your decision to choose Wicca is and to stay safe.

I would respond to your comment, thex13thxchild, but anything I say couldn’t make you look any dumber than you look now. But ill try. First of all I have no idea where the whole Greek mythology bit came from, and its very interesting, but seeing as a very small number of people (if any) still believe or practice in Greek mythology, I will have to label the whole paragraph as “a load of crap”. Sorry if thats too scientific for you, but what are ya gonna do. Second, your whole comment was meant to trash mine, yet you spend the entire comment remarking about how Satan is NOT, in fact, Satan, but is in fact the Light Bringer, which is in fact the planet Venus, which is just Greek mythology blah blah blah. And thirdly, I said I had never STUDIED Wicca, not that I have no idea what it is or that I know nothing about it. I just meant that I have never taked the time to read up on it, as I know for a fact that anything that deals with “spirits, archetypes, Universal Minds, gods in the plural, demigods, etc” are almost always Satanic in origins, and I know for a fact that Wicca is. and finally, you say that you corrected me, but I find nothing in your comment that relates to anything in mine. oh yeah and I agree with jesscooper, good call jess.

I don’t see how you can know much of anything if you can hardly fricken spell alvina

“I have never studied it nor do I plan to, but I do know that contrary to what crowbar says, the devil IS involved” If you’ve not practiced nor even studied it, then NO you DON’T know anything about it. It’s just YOUR opinion. I’ve both practiced & studied Christianity & the bible. When I state something of the bible, yes I give my opinion, that was developed from my own experience & experience with other people, but I also back up my words with facts obtained through research & study.

As for Satan being portrayed as a Light Bringer, that’s mistranslations honey. Not once in the bible is Lucifer used to labile Satan. Actually, luicifer appears only ONCE in the bible. Isaiah 14:12. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations!” It’s plain to see, in context, that the author used it to labile Nebuchadnezzar(or how ever the h3ll you spell his name if this isn’t the proper spelling). The term Lucifer, literally translates into Light Bringer. Lucifer is associated with the planet Venus. Every day before the sun rises, the star before the sun is Venus, thus Venus became the light bringer. Metaphorically speaking he brought light to his people. That, & that he’s all high & mighty right now, the “brightest star in the sky”, but it’s only setting him up for a bigger fall. There is a Greek God named Lucifer, far older than the Christian Devil, or even Christian God for that matter. He was band from Olympus because of his beauty, he was so beautiful, & yet so very vain. There’s a myth that explains how Lucifer came to be. Diana, the huntress/Goddess if the hunt, separated herself into 2 parts, herself being the darker half, Lucifer being the lighter half. Your seriously need to brush up on your mythology before making this sort of analogy, it’s getting tiring correcting the same mistake over & over again.

Getting back on subject, I’ld say your best bet is to perhaps ask them how they feel about it, & why. Then give them information you know about the practice. If they ask you why you’re questioning them or brought the subject up, just say you met one & decided to do a bit of research. If they disapprove it should be obvious, but if it seems as though they wouldn’t mind you being one, go a head & tell them you’re wanting to become one.

To answer your question, don’t commit the sin of lying and deception by not telling your parents. But before you decide to practice Wicca, know this. Wicca is some freaky stuff. I have never studied it nor do I plan to, but I do know that contrary to what crowbar says, the devil IS involved. In the bible Satan is called, among other things, a “deciever” and is even described as appearing as an angel of light. As C.S. Lewis says, one of the devils most sly tricks is convincing people he doesn’t exist. Don’t let the beliefs of Wicca fool you, they will bring harm upon you, maybe not in this life, but for sure in the next.

Answer #5

I would not do wicca at all it will just bring you harm and trouble 2 your family and u. dah best solution iz 2 STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! u’ll never know if it will bring you harm or not so I reckon you stay away from it… I mean your just 14 find someone who knows a whole bout wicca the bad and dah good. and I think your 2oo young 4 it at 14. and please if you are tryn 2 do wicca and tryn 2 sneak it away from your parents dont do it you will regret it when they die. just try 2 be good with a spice of bad a**!!!:)

Answer #6

If you don’t want drama/problems with your parents just don’t tell them you’re Wicca, and if you wear “certain” clothing just tell them it’s how you like to dress and they should leave you alone… If the way you dress and what you do is new to your parents and they don’t understand just give them a while and don’t talk about it too much and they will accept you as you are I’m sure, It’s hard for some parents to accept change in their children , take it from a parent.

Answer #14

thexthirtienthxchild, sorry to put you down but Diana was/is (refering to Evan) the greek goddess of Witchcraft. only in the roman religion was she considered the huntress stolen from the greek goddess artemis.

Answer #15

First off, My friend practices the ancient greek religion–posiden is his patron :) – and he is very happy. Second of, Venus is not in Greek mythology–I should know (Evan)–and you should get your facts straight. Third, Wicca is not SATANIC!!!
