Why wont my bunny eat?

I got a bunny two days ago. He is my first rabbit since I was four. Its been almost nine years so my parents are no help. Mine refuses to eat anything apposed to my sisters bunny who’s a total pig. No veggies no fruit not even regular pellets. Can you help? Thanks.

imagine if you were a bunny and you changed owner, wouldn’t it be scary with strangers trying to feed you something?the answer is yes so he just needs time to settle down and get to know you a bit more, altought I do recommend that you see a vet just in case it’s something else like pneunomia or pleurasie.

                                                                                  GOOD LUCK!!! :):):)

I got a bunny a long time ago and he wouldnt eat at first either, but when we got him a place set up outside of his little cage to run around he got used to the new environment and ate just fine, so Im sure your bunny needs time to adjust. hes most likely just a little scared and nervous.

Answer #3

Just make sure if he still isn’t eating anything in a in a day or so, take him to the vet-I’m sure you already know this but bunnies have sensitive digestive systems so it’s best to be on the safe side.

Answer #4

Sometimes they aren’t used to the environment yet, when it gets hungry it’ll have to eat. Maybe try calling the place you bought the bunny and ask what they were feeding it it might have come accustom to a cretin food or leave the food there and walk away so its not nervous my hamster wouldn’t eat anything till night when everyone went to bed.

Answer #5

my new puppy wont eat out of her bowl, she will only eat little bits out of my hand, maybe you could try putting a bit in your hand and offering it to it.

Answer #6

if its new, it may be stress, when we get a new buck or doe, it will take a few days for them to get used to their new enviroment, try putting a handful of hay if you have some. Try to make the new rabbit more comfortable in its new home and get it used to you and the other rabbit and it should start eating
