Why was this guy telling me I should get a boyfriend?

He just randomly started talking about how I should get a boyfriend by changing the way I look and to be less shy around guys. I told him that I wasn’t really looking for a boyfriend or commitment. So he then told me that it was a bad idea to live like that and I shouldn’t do that. When he himself isn’t in a committed relationship and just had sex with me. I’m very confused of why he said this. Was he just saying all of that to make conversation?

First of all dont listen to any guy who says you should change yourself.cause then thats just dumb.stay yourself don’t be listening to what a guy is saying to you. IF you dont want to be in a relationship then thats your choice. but there could be a possibilty this boy likes you a lot
