Why is my monroe lip piercing super swollen?

I recently got my lip pierced(a monroe) like 3 days ago… Everything was fine till lastnite. I went out and did happen to apply makeup but not to the piercing(but around it). I did drink and have a cigarette(I didn’t bring anything with me to clean it after all of that.) But as soon as I got home I cleaned it really good. While at the bar my ball fell out and didnt have another on hand so I used a eraser till I got to a tattoo place to get another(about an hour in time). When I got home is when I noticed a big difference in the size of my lip…It doesn’t hurt or anything but its so swollen the back of the stud is embedded in the inside of my lip. I clean it with antibacterial soap and listerien. What am I doing wrong, is it infected and what should I do?…any help will do. Thanks

WELL YOUR BEST BET IS IF IT GETS RED AND HAS ANY DISCHARGE ITS INFECTED IF ITS JUST SWOLLEN IT CAN JUST BE IRRITATED

its either infected or irritated especially if you smoked because your not supposed to do that with a new lip ring the make-up around it could also irritae/infect it as can the ball comming off meaning its sliding a lot more in your lip go back to the piercer and ask them how they think its going and if its going to heal properly or if its infected
